@Your Service - For Public Housing
The
@ Your Service suite of products from @ Better Results, Inc. utilize
Microsoft .NET technology for both web interfaces and secure clients.
We also maintain database independence through our own database
access framework with built-in support for MySQL, MS SQL Server,
Oracle, Access, or any ODBC-compliant database. All modules feature
a web component for collecting or distributing information to
clients, applicants, and vendors as well as a secure client
component, used in-house for administration of data, control of web
content, and management of interfaces to other housing applications.
The @ Your Service products utilize state-of-the-art technologies to
stream-line and simplify day-to-day processing within each housing
authority.
Applications for Assistance
The housing applications module
allows the housing authority to accept applications for assistance
online via a Better Results hosted portal, or through an existing
website, assuming hosting requirements can be met by the current ISP.
The online component collects all information found on standard
housing applications including:
Demographics
Household member information
Income information for each
household member
customizable preference
questions
customizable qualification
questions
In addition, acceptable
responses to many questions can be setup by the housing authority for
selection by the applicant via drop-down lists. Applicants can also
return to the site to update their information and to check their
position on the wait list if the housing authority chooses to publish
that information.
The secure client application,
which is used internally by housing authority personnel, is used to
review all pending applicants. Each application can be either
accepted or declined and all data from the original application is
available for review. When an application is accepted, the interface
to an external housing application is activated. Currently data can
be exported via XML files or through a direct interface to ECS
UniData-based systems. Wait list information can be published to the
website via these same interfaces.
Employment
Applications
This module allows online
collection of applications for employment. The website allows
potential applicants to:
Review available jobs
Select jobs for which they
would like to apply
Enter standard application
information such as demographics, employment history, education, and
references
Optionally upload a resume
Review jobs for which they have
already applied to see if an interview has been scheduled, the
application is still pending, or if they have been disqualified.
The secure client software
allows:
Administration of jobs to be
posted on the website or removed
Review of received applications
Allows department personnel to
review applicants for their jobs and schedule interviews or
disqualify the applicant
Print 'Application Received'
notices to be mailed to new applicants
Print complete application
forms for applicant signature during interviews
Download and print applicant
resumes
AP

checks issued within a time period that is defined by the housing
authority. The summary information shown includes the check number,
the date the check was issues and the check amount. When a specific
check is chosen from the summary list, more detailed information is
displayed. For accounts payable vendors this information includes:
Vendor invoice number
Vendor invoice date
Vendor invoice amount
For section 8 landlords, the
detail information includes:
Information used to populate the
database can be retrieved via XML files or through the direct
interface to ECS UniData-based systems.
Property
Inspection Status
This module allows Section-8
vendors to review the most recent inspection information on their
properties. The section 8 vendor logs in with their vendor number
and tax id number. Once logged in they will be able to select the
property for which they wish to review the inspection information.
The following detail information will be displayed for the selected
property.
Information used to populate the
database can be retrieved via XML files or through the direct
interface to ECS UniData-based systems.
Note: In addition to the
interfaces listed above, custom interfaces can be created to any
database with a .NET provider or an ODBC interface. Information
regarding tables and fields to be updated will have to be supplied by
the housing authority in these cases.
